Rental Accommodation

Find your perfect rental accommodation with Local Property Index. When looking for rental accommodation there are some things to look out for. One of the questions to look at are how near are local amenities and local transport. You can find on the internet these days the crime stats for the area that you are looking for regarding rental accommodation. Finding out if you are in going to be renting in a safe neighbourhood is important. If you have children then rental accommodation must be in an area that has good schools. Search the internet or ask the local schools for their Primary SAT's results and if a secondary school their examination results. From here you will be able to compare whether the rental accommodation that you are looking for is really offering you good value for money. If you are not renting in the right catchment area then your children are unlikely to get into the best local school in the area. So first find the best school and then find the rental accommodation that comes in this catchment. The school will tell you which addresses are covered in their catchment area. Once you have found the rental accommodation that interests you ensure you find out how much deposit you will need and take a close look at the contract. Ensure that there is nothing that could be a problem for you in the future. Most rental contracts will allow an estate agent to come in during the last two months of your rental contract to show you the property to potential buyers should the owner become interested in selling it. You are also unlikely to be able to decorate or even put pictures up unless upon vacating the rental accommodation you make good any damage you have caused in the walls. The deposit is usually one or two months rental in advance and can also include a cleaning fee for when you vacate. If you have any concerns over your rental contract speak to the agent and then a solicitor who can perhaps draw up another one that will be agreeable to both parties.
